The word somersault comes from the obsolete French word sombresault, which evolved from the Old Provençal (Occitan) word sobresaut. This term combines two Latin roots. sobre (from Latin supra), meaning "over" or "above" & saut (from Latin saltus, derived from salire), meaning "a leap" or "to jump". The name has been inspired by a fun moment encouraging a leap of faith!!! Come Somersault into the racing world!
